The story.
Joshua Beebe is an Indigenous singer-songwriter from rural Southern Alberta whose raw, honest songs explore family, loss, healing, humour, and the stories we carry with us. Blending acoustic folk, indie, and alt-country, Beebe draws inspiration from storytellers like John Prine and Leonard Cohen while bringing a distinctly personal voice to his music. A winner of the South Country Fair Songwriting Competition and an Elite Eight finalist at the YYC Songwriter Showdown, Beebe has performed throughout Alberta, including Calgary’s National Music Centre at Studio Bell. Joshua is available as a solo performer, as a duo with multi-instrumentalist Kelsey Jespersen of the Lethbridge Symphony, or as a full-band experience with his backing band, The Forest Orchestra. From intimate songwriter settings to full-stage performances, each format centres around honest storytelling, musicianship, and songs for the broken, the healing, and everyone in between.
