My passion for music developed early, thanks to my father. I grew up in a farming community where making a living was challenging and availability of social events were limited. My father was a musician; playing in a band with his brothers and conducting the church choir. I started playing bass guitar and singing with my father at the age of 9, mostly playing by ‘ear’ and learning to adapt what I was hearing into actual notes and chords on the fret board. After years of practice around the kitchen table, and a weekly ‘gig’ in the church choir, I started playing weddings, anniversaries, and other social events with my father and his band. I continued to develop my vocal and other musical skills, playing in several bands throughout my youth; helping other artists develop their musical talents, performing for folks in homes and hospitals, elderly folks at monthly social gatherings, high school dances, charity fundraisers (TeleMiracle, Regina Saskatchewan), etc. As the years passed, my passion for music continued to grow. After leaving a long career as a Senior Executive in a large international corporation, I devoted my time to further developing my music career and in 2022, released my first solo album of material I authored.
